Marketing
Strategy, funnels and measurement

Making it work is a different job to making it.

Production gets you something worth showing. Marketing is the part that decides whether anyone sees it, whether it reaches people who can actually buy, and whether you can tell afterwards which of it worked. Most businesses buy the first half and hope the second half happens.

01  Where we start

We measure before we spend.

Every engagement opens with a baseline, because you cannot prove a result against a number nobody wrote down. That is not a formality — it is usually where the strategy comes from.

01

What you actually rank for

Positions recorded across the terms that matter, not a vanity list. Most businesses discover they rank for their own name and nothing else — visible to people who already know them, invisible to everyone else.

02

Where your authority comes from

A backlink profile tells you the truth quickly. When almost every link comes from one booking or listing vendor, that vendor is the one accruing the authority, not you.

03

Whether AI can see you at all

We check what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Llama actually say when asked about your category. A score of zero across every model is common, recent, and fixable — and almost nobody is measuring it yet.

04

What the demand looks like

Real search volumes and real difficulty against the things you actually sell, so the plan chases terms you can win and customers you want.

02  Search and answer engines

Two audiences now, not one.

Ranking on Google is still the job. Being quotable by an AI answer is the new one, and it is a different discipline that most agencies have not adjusted for.

Classical search

Money-term pages built against real demand, technical work, structured data, internal linking, and the local and maps presence that decides who shows up in a nearby search.

Answer-engine optimization

Content written to be cited rather than merely ranked: clear claims, real specifics, structure a model can lift, and the crawler and llms.txt posture that lets it in at all.

Authority

Editorial links from the sites we operate and manage, plus genuine regional and partner links. This is the part content alone cannot fix, and the part most programs quietly skip.

03  The funnel

From stranger to customer, with the steps written down.

Most marketing fails between the interesting post and the thing you sell. We build the road, not just the billboard.

Discover
Pages and content aimed at how people search for what you do, not what you call it internally.
Explore
Somewhere to go that answers the next question, on a domain you own rather than a listing site.
Convert
A tracked path to the actual action — a booking, an enquiry, a call — with nothing in the way of it.
Return
Email and follow-up to the list you own, so a customer is not a one-time purchase.
Refer
Reviews, owner and partner sharing, and the material that makes recommending you easy.

And the second funnel most people miss

Plenty of businesses have a customer who is also a candidate to become something more — an owner, an investor, a partner, a franchisee. That path almost never exists on the website, so the thought dies where it started. Building it is usually the highest-return thing on this page.

04  Campaigns

Paid, once organic is earning.

We would rather fix the free channels first. Paid amplifies whatever is already there, including the problems.

01

Built, run and optimized

Google, Meta and TikTok. Written, targeted, tested and adjusted against what converts rather than what gets impressions.

02

Your budget stays yours

Ad spend goes to the platforms, not to us, and is never spent without your approval. Management is inside the retainer.

03

Seasonal and situational

Gaps to fill, a season to push, an event this weekend, a launch. Campaign work should answer the calendar you actually run on.

05  Reporting

What you see every month.

One report and one working session. Written so you can act on it, not so it looks impressive.

What is in it

  • What moved, and what we changed to move it
  • Traffic by source, tagged at the path level
  • Position changes on the terms that matter
  • Conversions and the steps before them
  • AI visibility across the major models
  • What is coming next, and why that order

What is not in it

Impressions presented as results. Rankings on terms nobody searches. Charts that go up because the axis moved. A report is only worth reading if it can tell you something went badly.

We will not put a booking number, a ranking or a revenue figure in front of you before the data exists to support it. First we build the measurement, then we make the claim.
